NYX Butter Gloss Review and Swatches

All Glosses

Hello Lovelies!

I just wanted to put up a quick review of the NYX butter glosses now that I have a selection of the original shades and some of the newly released shades to show you.

NYX is quite an affordable “drugstore” brand that has recently been brought to Australia in Target stores. I still personally purchase most of my NYX products off either www.cherryculture.com or www.beautyjoint.com as it is less expensive on there and there is a larger variety as Target is not carrying the full range of products.

Here is what NYX claims these lip glosses will do – “Butter me up with divine gloss that feels like it melts on the lips”.

I am not generally a fan of lip gloss, I like to wear glossy lips but I don’t really like to wear lip gloss – weird I know! I just don’t like the sticky wet feeling of most glosses, I find it gets in my hair and feels gross. But these are amazing! These are my all-time favourite lip glosses and I would highly recommend these to anyone even people who do not like lip gloss like myself.

These lip glosses smell like cake icing for a start – delicious! They feel so creamy and smooth on the lips and are not sticky at all. They have really good pigmentation for a lip gloss and last quite well on the lips despite not being sticky. I think the names of these are really cute, they are all named after desserts. The packaging is quite simple and nothing fancy but I like it, I like that you can see the colour of the lip gloss inside. It just has a standard doe foot applicator.

I absolutely love these lip glosses and can’t wait to try out more of the shades.

  1. Nice swatches! I have a couple of these-I do like them but maybe not quite as much as all the typical raving I’ve seen? I think I just need to experiment with them more 🙂
