Makeup Geek Blushes – All 13 Shades – Review and Swatches

Blushes

Hi Everyone,

I have a very exciting post for you today! I finally received my order of the new Makeup Geek blushes and have been playing around with them for the past couple of weeks and can’t wait to share my thoughts on these with you.

If you know me at all, you know I am obsessed with Makeup Geek products, I own all of the eye shadows (except a couple of new ones that just came out) and most of the pigments. You can check out my reviews and swatches here on the eye shadows and here on the pigments if you would like more details.

If you have not heard of Makeup Geek it is a cosmetic brand that was created by a lady called Marlena who has a channel on YouTube called Makeup Geek TV. She has been working really hard for the past couple of years growing her range of cosmetics and finally she has released the much awaited blush collection.

I have been waiting anxiously for so long for these to come out, I love her eye shadows so much and when she announced she would be releasing blushes I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them to see if they have the same amazing quality as the shadows.

Marlena released 13 different shades of blushes, 9 of them matte and 4 of them shimmer. I couldn’t help myself, I decided to pick up all 13 shades!  The blushes come in both pan form which retail for $9.99 and in compacts which retail for $12.99 and I chose to purchase all of mine in compacts so I could put them in Z palettes as I like having them all together. As you will see from my photos I have sorted them into two different palettes, one with the more peachy/coral shades and one with the more pink/plum shades. I really like them sorted like this as it is so easy to pick up one of the palettes and choose a shade from either pinks or peaches depending on what look I am going for.

Blushes in palettes

The pans contain 4.25 grams of blush in each one which is a little smaller than M.A.C blushes which I believe contain somewhere around 6 grams of product. I think for the amount of product and the quality the prices are quite fair on the Makeup Geek blushes. These blushes are made in the USA and are talc and cruelty free.

The formula on these blushes is amazing and definitely lives up to the quality of the eye shadows and pigments from the brand. The blushes are smooth and creamy and they blend out beautifully on the cheeks. I find they last all day on me and haven’t made me break out. I am really impressed with these blushes and am so glad to have them in my collection. I haven’t used anything else since I got them which is saying a lot because I usually wear different products every day. They a very pigmented but not overally pigmented where they become hard to work with, they are the perfect in between.

Now onto the shades and the swatches;

Peach swatches

Swatches from Left to Right – Honeymoon, Spell Bound, Romance, Smitten, Bliss, Summer Fling and Infatuation

Honeymoon – This is a very pale muted pink with a tiny hint of peach and silver glitter. I don’t like glitter in my blushes or highlighters, shimmer is ok but glitter I’m not a fan of so this one is probably my least favourite out of all of them. It’s too pale and glittery to use as a blush but too dark to use as a highlighter on my pale skin so the only way I can use this one is as a topper on other blushes but because of the glitter I don’t see myself getting a lot of use out of this one. I wish she has just made a really pretty shimmery highlighter instead.

Spell Bound – This shade looks kind of boring in the pan but is absolutely stunning and is one of my favourites because it looks so natural and flattering on the cheeks. It is a matte peachy pink shade that is not too warm and not too cool toned so will suit nearly everyone. Whilst this shade is matte it seems to give more of a satin finish and just looks so pretty on the cheeks. If you are going to get any shade I would highly recommend this one.

Romance – This is a peachy/pink shade with a tonne of gold shimmer in it that gives it a really pretty sheen. This is one of those “Nars Orgasm” type shades that again will be flattering on so many skin tones.

Smitten – This is a true matte peach shade. This doesn’t swatch that well but it goes on the cheeks beautifully and is a shade that really surprised me as I didn’t think I would like it that much but I find it to be so pretty on and I really love it.

Bliss – This is another shade that I didn’t expect to love as much as I do but I guess I am getting more into peaches lately and this shade is a gorgeous matte cantaloupe shade that is slightly darker than the above shade. Like Smitten it doesn’t swatch that well but I find that to be the case with majority of orange blushes but it blends beautifully onto the cheeks and is perfect for summer!

Summer Fling – This is a bright matte coral/orange shade that is very vibrant. Being quite fair I have to be very careful applying this blush otherwise it can come off too intense but with a tan it will be the perfect summer blush.

Infatuation – This shade is a matte tan which can be used as a bronzer for fair skin (how I use it) or as a natural blush for medium to dark skin tones. It is not too warm and not too cool so will work for many skin tones however fair skinned girls beware, you will need a light hand with this one too.

Pink swatches

Swatches from Left to Right – Love Affair, Rendezvous, Hanky Panky, Secret Admirer, Head Over Heels and First Love

Love Affair – This is a super intense matte coral/pink. This shade is super bright and pigmented so be careful if you are fair, I think medium to dark skin tones will love this one especially in the summer time.

Rendezvous – This is a very pigmented plumy/pink shade that is perfect for winter. This is a matte shade however like her other matte shades it has a more satin finish which I prefer as it gives a pretty natural look.

Hanky Panky – This is a very standard matte mid toned pink. This shade is quite pigmented so if you are fair you may need to use a light hand. This shade is very pretty and is a great staple shade for any collection.

Secret Admirer – This is a cool toned matte purple/pink shade. This shade screams radiant orchid and is perfect for anyone looking for a blush in that colour range (which I have been). I love this blush, it is purple but it doesn’t look crazy or weird on the cheeks. It just gives a super pretty flush and is perfect if you like cool toned blushes.

Head Over Heels – This is a light bubble gum pink with a very slight shimmer in it. This is another one of my favourites from the line. It is the most perfect natural pink blush that goes with just about any look.

First Love – This blush was made for the fairest of fair girls, it is a baby pink with pink shimmer in it. This shade is super fair and I don’t think many skin tones will be able to wear this. I am about an NW20 in M.A.C and this shade is too fair for me and makes me look a little ashy so I would not recommend this one unless you are super super fair.

Overall I really like these blushes and I think there is a shade in here to suit anyone’s taste and/or skin tone. I think Marlena did a really great job with these and I hope she expands the range in the future.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of the Makeup Geek blushes and what your favourite one is.

Australis Colour Inject Lipstick Review and Swatches

Lipsticks

Hi Everyone!

Today I want to talk about the Australis Colour Inject Lipsticks and do a quick review and some swatches for you guys.

Australis is an Australian cosmetic brand and can be purchased from Priceline and Kmart and it is relatively inexpensive especially compared to some other brands in Australian “drugstores”. I have three shades from this lipstick line and I will start off by saying that I absolutely love them!

I purchased these on sale and did not expect too much from them because I honestly have not been overly impressed with many products from Australis but was really surprised at the quality of these lipsticks.

Package

Labels

They come in a black tube that has a slanted lid, the packaging is quite heavy and looks and feels quite nice. It has the names on the bottom with a sticker of the colour of the lipstick that is inside so it makes it easy to find the colour you are looking for.

The shades I have are a cream finish and I think all the shades in the line may be a cream finish but I could be wrong. What I love about these lipsticks is that they are so creamy and pigmented and just glide on the lips so smoothly but are not too creamy where they end up moving all over the place during the day. I think the shade names are so cute as well, I hate when products have really boring shade names!

These last for hours on the lips and I think the formula could pass for a high end lipstick, they are that good! Below are some swatches of the three shades I have but I really want to pick up some more from the collection.

Swatches

Mambo, Gangsta Rap, Lick The Icing

Let me know in the comments if you have tried these lipsticks and what your thoughts on them are and if you have any shades you can recommend.

June 2014 Favourites

All Products

Hello lovelies!

I can’t believe another month has passed and we are now half way through 2014! Being the end of another month it is time for me to share with you all what I have been loving for the past month so let’s get into it. I know that normally in winter people go for a paler look and darker lips and eye looks but despite the freezing weather I have been loving a really bronzed look the last few weeks so you will a lot of bronze coloured products in this month’s favourites. I probably look very out of place wearing extremely summer friendly makeup whilst walking around rugged up and shivering but oh well it’s just what I have been liking lately.

M.A.C Minerlize Blush in Warm Soul –

The first product I have been loving this month is Warm Soul from MAC. This is a really pretty shimmery bronze blush with hints of rose in it. It looks so pretty on the skin and blends beautifully and has been going really well with my bronzed looks I have been loving.

M.A.C Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden –

I got this bronzer as part of the Alluring Aquatics collection but it is available in their permanent range. When it first arrived I wasn’t sure I would like it because it is quite orange toned and has a lot of gold shimmer in it but with a tan it looks really pretty.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Cocoa Bear, Crème Brulee and Bling –

I have been loving these eye shadows in conjunction with the gold base and shadow that I will talk about below to create a really beautiful warm golden eye. I use Crème Brulee in the crease, the gold shadows below on the lid, Cocoa Bear in the outer v and on lower last line and Bling on the brow bone. It is such a beautiful eye look and really makes my blue eyes pop.

Bath and Body Works Candle in Coconut Leaves –

I am obsessed with this scent! It smells like a tropical heaven to me and I find it so relaxing. The notes in this candle are tangerine, papaya and coconut and it smells so delicious! I have been making my own candles lately as I want to go into business selling them and one of my supplies has found a duplicate for this scent in a fragrance oil so I can try and make my own candles that smell like this. I am so excited to try it out!

Arbonne RE9 Firming Body Cream –

I love using this firming cream on my neck and décolletage as that area along with your hands and the parts of your body that show age first so it is important to look after them. This body cream has a really nice light fresh scent and is made from all natural ingredients. I don’t have any wrinkles or anything like that yet so I can’t really tell if it helps with those issues but it feels and smells really nice and I am hoping it is helping to prevent wrinkles and ages skin.

Essence Fix & Matte Translucent Loose Powder –

I have loved this powder for a long time now, it is so finely milled and I use it every day for setting my under eye concealer but have recently been also using it all over my face and I love it! It keeps me matte for hours and because it is so finely milled it doesn’t look cakey. This powder is really inexpensive so I would really recommend checking it out if you are after a new powder. Because it is translucent all skin tones can use it.

Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner in Black –

This is a sample size that I got for free from beautybay.com when I placed my last order and I have been really loving it this month. The pen has a really fine tip which makes it very easy to get a precise line and the liner is super black and lasts all day long without any smudging at all. I love it!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in 45 Bold Gold and LÓreal Paris Color Infallible Eyeshadow in 027 Goldmine –

As I spoke about before I have been loving using these two in conjunction with the Makeup Geek shadows above to create a really beautiful warm golden eye. I place the color tattoo down first as a base to make the shadow last longer and to make the eye shadow on top pop more. I then place the L’Oreal eye shadow on top and the combination creates the most beautiful gold shade ever!

Tweezerman Leopard Slanted Tweezers –

Let me start by saying I have always hated plucking my eyebrows. I have always just used tweezes from beauty supply stores or Priceline and find it so painful and avoid doing it as much as possible (to the point of letting my eye brows become a disgrace from lack of care!). I have always heard people rave about Tweezerman tweezers but they are soo expensive I took me forever to take the leap and purchase them and I am so glad I finally did. These make plucking my brows a breeze, it doesn’t hurt at all and they are so sharp and slanted that they take out each hair so easily. I love these and wish I had purchased them years ago!

Arbonne Mineral Powder Foundation in Medium Beige and Tan –

I have been loving both of these for different areas, I use the Medium Beige all over my face on top of a CC cream or light foundation and then I use the Tan on my décolletage to give me a tanned look. These have a very slight shimmer in them that gives a really pretty healthy glow. They give a beautiful smooth natural finish and I have been really loving them especially in combination. It gives a lovely tanned glow using the Tan shade down my neck and chest, I highly recommend trying these out. They don’t give enough coverage for me personally alone on my face which is why I like to use a CC cream underneath and the combination gives perfect coverage without being cakey.

M.A.C Matte Lipstick in Enchanted One –

This lipstick is part of the Alluring Aquatic collection and I ummed and arrhed about getting it for ages before going ahead and including it in my order and I am so happy I did. It is a warm peachy/brown nude that I thought would be too dark for me but I actually really love it. The formula is so creamy for a matte and this shade is perfect for everyday and especially with the bronzed looks I have been going for, and who can resist that gorgeous packaging!

That sums up my favourites for this month. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and also what you have been loving this month, I would love to know.

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks – Review and Swatches

All lipsticks

Hi Guys!

If you seen my last haul from www.beautyjoint.com you will have seen that I picked up some more shades from the Milani Color Statement lipsticks so I thought I would do a review and swatches of all the shades I own.

These retail for $5.69 on the beautyjoint website below so they are very affordable. Milani is not available in store in Australia so I purchase all of my Milani products from this website as they are not too overpriced.

http://beautyjoint.com/lips/milani-color-statement-lipstick

These lipsticks come in a gold tube with Milani written on the tube and bottom of the tube shows the shade and name of the lipstick. I love the packaging, I think it is very pretty and having the swatch of the shade on the bottom makes it so easy to find the shade you are looking for.

First 5

Last 4

The lipsticks all have a sweet watermelon scent to them. I really like the scent however if you are sensitive to scented products you may not like these as the scent is quite strong.

The pigmentation of these lipsticks is amazing! These glide on so smoothly and are so opaque and creamy. The formula of these reminds me of the Lime Crime lipsticks but these are much lower in price. I am obsessed with these lipsticks, I think they are such great quality at such an affordable price and I would highly recommend checking them out as they have a huge range of shades available.

These are the shades I have in my collection;

Swatches

Swatches from left to right – Nude Crème, Naturally Chic, Rose Amour, Hot Pink Rage, Fruit Punch, Raspberry Rush, Sangria, Violet Volt, Black Cherry

Nude Creme

26 Nude Crème

This is the perfect nude shade for my pale skin. It is a really nice pink/beige nude and is light enough for my skin tone without being too nude so that I look dead. I am really loving this one. This one has a cream finish.

Naturally Chic

25 Naturally Chic

This is a much darker rosey nude shade than the above one and I find it is too dark for my skin tone and looks quite brown on me. This would be a nice nude for someone with a medium-dark skin tone. This one has a cream finish.

Rose Amour

33 Rose Amour

This one is a really pretty bright pink shade in a cream finish.

Hot Pink Rage

15 Hot Pink Rage

This is another really bright pink in a cream finish. It is a little darker than the above shade.

Fruit Punch

11 Fruit Punch

This is a mid-toned warm pink shade. This is very pretty but I do prefer more cool toned pinks on me. This is a cream finish also.

Raspberry Rush

19 Raspberry Rush

This is a really pretty bright pink/purple shade with hot pink shimmer in it.

Sangria

21 Sangria

This is a stunning deep purple plum shade that is a great dupe for MAC’s Rebel. This is a cream finish also.

Violet Volt

34 Violet Volt

This is a gorgeous vibrant purple shade with shimmer in it.

Black Cherry

24 Black Cherry

This is a very deep vampy wine shade, gorgeous for the winter time

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried these lipsticks and what your thoughts are on them. Please also let me know if you have any shades from the collection that you would recommend.

Lorac Pro To Go Palette – Review and Swatches

DSCN2622

Hi Everyone!

Today I am going to do a quick review on the Lorac Pro To Go palette. If you are from Australia like me you will not be able to purchase this palette in stores as Lorac is not stocked anywhere here.

I got this palette off a makeup sale facebook page as someone was selling it brand new on there and had proof of authenticity so I just had a lucky find. I have heard of people getting it off Amazon or eBay but I don’t know if there are fakes on those sites or not. You may be able to purchase it somewhere online in America and use a shipping forwarding company to ship it to you but I am not sure about that either as I haven’t tried it.

DSCN2623

This palette comes in the same black cardboard rubber sort of packaging as the normal pro palette and besides the fact that it shows up finger prints really badly I really like this packaging as it is very sleek and compact. It folds out and has a mirror on the eye shadow side and also comes with two small brushes, one blending and one angled.

DSCN2624

DSCN2625

This palette comes with six eyeshadows and like the original pro palette one row is all matte and one row is all shimmer which I love because you get a great variety of shades and finishes. This palette also comes with two blushes and a bronzer on the other side so it makes for a perfect travel palette because it is small but has so many products in one.

The top row of eyeshadows are all shimmers and it contains the following shades;

shimmers

Swatches from Left to Right – Pearl, Chai, Mink

Pearl – This is a pinky pearl highlight shade

Chai – I love this shade, it is a really pretty warm bronze shade, perfect for all over the lid

Mink – This is a cool toned dark taupey/gray shade

The bottom row is all matte and has the following shades;

mattes

Swatches from Left to Right – Shell, Cafe, Black

Shell – This is a cream shade

Café – This is a warm mid toned brown that is perfect for the crease

Black –This is just a plain matte black which is perfect for smoking out looks or to use as liner

The two highlight shades, Pearl and Shell are larger in size than the other four shades. This seems to be becoming a trend in palettes now to make the highlight shades larger as most people use them more than the other shades.

The quality of these eye shadows will not disappoint, it is the exact same smooth, buttery and highly pigmented formula as the original pro palette and I have never found eye shadows like this anywhere before. They are so creamy and blendable it is amazing and I highly recommend Lorac pro eye shadows.

The blushes on the other side of the palette are also an amazing quality, very smooth and blendable. There are two blushes and one bronzer in the following shades;

Blushes

Swatches from Left to Right – Bronze, Pink, Coral

Coral – This is a peachy, pink coral shade with some very fine gold shimmer. It looks similar to NARS orgasm and would be a very flattery shade on so many skin tones.

Pink – This is a matte mid toned pink, I like this one as it is not too warm or too cool, it’s a nice in between.

Bronze – This is a matte bronzer that again like the pink blush is not too cool or too warm toned, it is a nice in between and I think it would look good on so many skin tones.

Overall I love this palette, the quality is amazing and the shades are beautiful and it is perfect for everyday or for travelling. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite Lorac products are.

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? #12

DSCN2914

Welcome to the final day of product empties week. If you haven’t been following I have uploaded a new post everyday with products I have used up and mini reviews on each item. Product empty posts are one of my favourite’s to read so I really hope you guys have enjoyed all the posts this week. This is another Arbonne dense post so one again I apologise for that guys, I just love their products so much! Let me know if you have enjoyed product empties week in the comments below and leave me links to your product empties post, I would love to read them.

Reviva Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub –

I got this off Iherb after I heard Makeup by Ren Ren on YouTube rave about it for removing blackheads. It is quite inexpensive, doesn’t really have a scent and it a very gentle exfoliant that you use 1-2 times per week. You rub this over your skin for 2-3 minutes to really scrub away the dead skin cells and then rinse it off and your skin will feel baby soft. I did like this one but I have a similar one that I also got off Iherb that I like much better, it just makes my skin feel that little bit more soft and smooth. This one is way cheaper than the other so I would maybe repurchase it in a pinch as I did still really like it.

Arbonne SeaSource Fortifying Hair Mask –

I really liked this hair mask, my only gripe with it is that it ran out too quickly. It is very thick and moisturising and made my hair super soft when I used it. I would repurchase this one again in the future, I am just trying to use up some other masks first as I have way too many at the moment.

Arbonne SeaSource Detox Spa Purifying Sea Soak –

I won’t talk too much about this as I have already featured it in another empties but I do really like this product for removing toxins from the body and relieving sore muscles. Will repurchase.

Arbonne Pure Vibrance Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner –

I am on the fence about this shampoo and conditioner, they were nice but I don’t love them as much as the FC5 ones from Arbonne which are my holy grail. This line is designed for colour treated hair but I find the FC5 ones make my hair so much softer and smell much nicer so I will probably repurchase those instead of these. This was just a deluxe sample size of each so was a good way to try them out.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub –

This scrub smells like lemon and coriander and is very fresh and great for use in the morning to help wake you up. It is quite a harsh salt scrub but it mixed in with oils so it is great for removing the dead skin really well but the oils help to keep the skin moisturised. I would repurchase this one in the future however I have a couple of scrubs to use up in the meantime and I am think of recycling this tub and making my own scrub to put inside it.

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? #11

DSCN2913

Almay TLC Foundation in Buff –

I quite liked this foundation when I first got it but then I stopped using it and now it has gone off so it is time to toss this one. This has about medium coverage and lasted pretty well throughout the day. I only really use my Arbonne Perfecting Liquid foundation now as it is my holy grail and I can’t find anything that competes with it so I probably wouldn’t repurchase this one.

Almay Line Smoothing Foundation in Buff –

As with the above foundation I used to quite like this one but I stopped using it and now it has gone off so time to get rid of it. This also had medium coverage and lasted quite well throughout the day. I did find this filled in my forehead lines quite well but it was a very sticky foundation so it was a pain to apply. I probably won’t repurchase this one either.

Ecopure Honey & Shea Lip Butter

I don’t know where I got this lip butter from but it was nothing special and I didn’t really use much of it and now it looks weird so I think it has gone off. The Nivea lip butters are my holy grail and I will continue to repurchase those so I wouldn’t repurchase this one.

I Love…Coconut & Cream Lip Butter –

I did like this lip butter when I first got it but then it got forgotten about in the back of my drawer and now has a slight chemical smell to it so I think it has gone off as well. This smelt exactly as the name implies, like coconut and cream and coconut is one of my favourite scents so I really liked this one. I would consider repurchasing this one.

Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eye Shadows –

These three eyeshadows from Essence are in a cream format but they are all very dry and patchy so I have never really worn them. One was so dry when I purchased it that the entire contents fell out of the pot when I opened it. I would recommend these and I definitely would purchase anymore. The consistency of these is so bad they are useless so they are going in the bin.

Arbonne RE9 Night Repair Crème –

I love this night cream, it is thick and moisturising without being too greasy and my skin is always smooth and hydrated when I wake up in the morning. It has a pleasant scent and I am already using another tub of this. I would repurchase it.

LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie Sample –

This is a thick consistency and is designed to be rubbed into your skin and then washed off whilst in the shower and it is supposed to be really hydrating. I did not like this product, I found it made my skin feel kind of sticky and tight and it was not that moisturising. I would not purchase the full size of this, it’s a weird product.

EOS Lip Balm in Pomegranate –

I purchased this off Ebay as we don’t have EOS in Australia and I wanted to try it out as I had heard a lot of hype about these lip balms. I later found out that there are a lot of fakes of these on eBay so I am not sure if mine was fake or not but I did not like it. It is just a waxy balm that does nothing for moisturising the lips and like the other lip balms above it now has a chemical smell to it so I am tossing it as I think it is off. I would not repurchase this.

Arbonne RE9 Smoothing Facial Cleanser –

I love this cleanser! It has a really nice light fresh fruit scent, it’s all natural and it removes my makeup really well and doesn’t sting my eyes. What more can I say? I love it and would definitely repurchase it again.

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? #10

All prodcts

Welcome to day four of empties week guys! Who is enjoying empties week so far? This is a very Arbonne dense post and I apologise for the lack of brand variety in this one. I am a consultant for Arbonne International so that is why I use so many of their products, I absolutely love them. That of course in no ways hinders my opinion on their products, I am always 100% honest with you guys 🙂

root powder

Schwarzkoft Instant Volume Powder –

This product is a powder that you dust in your hair at the roots to give you a textured teased effect…..and it does exactly that! This will make your hair look like it has been teased without having to actually damage your hair by teasing it. It does make your hair feel sticky and dirty which I don’t like but my hair usually sits quite flat so I love using this at the roots to give me more volume and a tousled look. I am currently using the VO5 one which I don’t like as much as this one and I have just ordered the Big Sexy Hair one online to try as I have heard good things about that one. I would repurchase this one again, it works well and is inexpensive.

arbonne calm serum

Arbonne Calm Soothing Facial Serum –

First of all I hate the packaging on this product! It is a glass bottle with a dropper but the dropper is crap and doesn’t pick up hardly any product so you have to tip the bottle upside down and try and shake the product out which is so annoying, I really wish they would repackaging this product into a pump bottle. Now that the negative about the packaging is out of the way onto the actual product which I love. This is a light weight serum with a sort of gel/oil consistency that is formulated for sensitive skin. This serum really calms my skin down and doesn’t break me out and I can use it under my makeup with no problems as it is not greasy at all and sinks right into the skin. I really like this serum despite the packaging and have repurchased and am using the second bottle now.

detox spa

Arbonne SeaSource Detox Spa Purifying Sea Soak –

This is a powdered sea salt product that you put in your bath and it has ingredients in it that are designed to draw out toxins from your body. This has a light herbal fragrance and I do find I feel very refreshed after I bath in this product. It is really beneficial for your skin and for sore muscles. I highly recommend this product.

arbonne conditioner

Arbonne FC5 Noruishing Daily Conditioner –

This is my holy grail conditioner! It smells amazing and moisturisers my hair better than any leave in treatment or deep conditioner. This in combination with the shampoo is amazing and I highly highly recommend them. Will definitely be repurchasing this product.

arbonne cleanser

Arbonne RE9 Intensive Renewal Serum –

This is my favourite serum I have ever used. It smells really nice, like a light fruity scent and is not greasy at all. This sinks into the skin so nicely and I find it really helps with my skin texture and discoloration. My only gripe with this product is that it runs out so quickly and is so expensive, I usually go through a bottle of this a month! I am onto another bottle of this already but I do use in sparingly as I don’t want to go through it so quickly again.

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase #9

All products

Welcome to day four of empties week!

Arbonne RE9 Restorative Day Crème SPF 15 –

I really like this day cream, it is moisturising without being too greasy and I like that it has SPF so I don’t have to apply a separate SPF to my face. It comes in a pump bottle which I love because it’s hygienic and easy to use. Not much more to say about this, it’s a great day cream.

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleaning Gel –

This cleanser took me forever to use up! It was a green gel like consistency and there is still a tiny bit left in the bottom but it is hard to get out and I am just over it so I think it is time to retire this one. I used about ¾ of this ages ago and then put it away and forgot about it. I recently pulled it back out and started using it as my morning cleanser as it was not the best at removing makeup at night. It was ok for morning use as it was quite gentle but I wouldn’t repurchase this again as it was just kind of meh.

White Musk Hand Sanitiser –

This isn’t exactly a beauty product but I used to keep this with my makeup so I could sanitise my hands before doing my makeup. This had a light floral scent and was so hard to use up as the bottle was very hard to squeeze any product out of. I got this as a promotional item from a company my work employs so I don’t think it is even available to purchase anywhere but even if it was I probably wouldn’t repurchase. I just got some of the bath and body ones and they are much nicer as they smell better.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo –

I have a very love/hate relationship with this dry shampoo. I love the way it works, you spray it in and it makes greasy hair look fresh and clean again. I don’t mind the slight white cast it gives as my hair is blonde so it lightens my roots but if you brush it out well you won’t get the white cast. My hate with this product is that it drys my scalp out so badly so I have been trying not to use it very often anymore. I have purchased backups of this product but I am on the hunt for a dry shampoo that works just as well without drying out my scalp.

Mustika Ratu Papaya Bath & Shower Gel –

I picked this up a few months ago when I was in Bali and I wish I could get this shower gel in Australia because it smells absolutely amazing! It has such a fresh fruit fragrance and lathers up so nicely and I was so sad when I used this up. If I could find this I would definitely repurchase it.

Arbonne It’s a Long Story Mascara –

This mascara has ingredients in it that are designed to help make your lashes grow and is one of Arbonne’s best sellers. When I first got this mascara I hated it, I found it clumpy and it didn’t do much for my lashes. I didn’t use it regularly enough to see if it had any lash growing benefits to it.

It has a flexible rubber bristled wand and after about six months of having this mascara opened (about when I should have tossed it) I pulled it back out again and found I really liked the formula now. It didn’t do anything drastic length or volume wise but was great for separating and made a nice basic everyday mascara. It was so weird that the formula was the opposite six months later to when I first opened it, I mean I know as mascaras dry out they change but such a dramatic change was shocking. It has now been opened for way too long so I think it is time to put this one to rest as I usually don’t like to keep my mascaras longer than three months as bacteria builds up in the tube. I would maybe repurchase this one again but it is extremely expensive.

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? #8

All products

Welcome to day three of product empties week! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them.

Arbonne RE9 For Men Shave Gel –

I purchased this for my husband as he had a sample of it from a kit I bought him and he really liked it but I ended up using quite a bit of it to. Now this says shave gel but it is actually a cream and I found I did not like this product that much for me. Because it is a cream it clogs up your razor so badly and I went through this so quickly because there is not that much product in the tube when you are putting it all over your legs. My husband likes this as it doesn’t make his face burn after shaving like most traditional shave creams do but he also hates the fact that it clogs up his razor. I wouldn’t repurchase this again for myself as I go through it too quickly.

Lighting Whitening Dial A Smile Kit –

Whitening Lightning has been getting a lot of hype lately in the YouTube world and this kit has been raved about so I decided to try it out for myself. I did purchase this with my own money. I found that this did nothing much at all for whitening my teeth. I have used it about 6-7 times and only once did I notice a difference in my teeth. I don’t know if I was doing something wrong but I followed all the instructions each time and I would maybe get 1-2 shades lighter with my teeth which is not much of a difference in my opinion especially for the price of this kit. I do drink a lot of tea and my teeth are quite stained from it so it’s not like I had really white teeth to begin with that didn’t have much room to go whiter. I would not repurchase this again.

Beauty Care Green Tea Facial Wipes –

I won’t talk about these much as they are always in my empties. I buy these to wipe my makeup brushes off on as they are cheap, I don’t use these on my face. I will repurchase them again.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Rockin Curves Mascara –

This product is kind of sentimental to me as my first ever blog post was a first impression on tis mascara. Despite that I am going to toss it as I really didn’t like it. The wand is way too big for my eyes and I don’t really understand how the worm like wand is beneficial to applying mascara. I wouldn’t repurchase this one.

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner –

I have been using this product for years! And I mean years and years! I don’t know if this has been discontinued as I can’t find it anywhere anymore but I recently found it at the Reject Shop and bought like four of them. This smells amazing just like all Garnier products and it does a good job of conditioning. I have found deep conditioners since that I like much better but this one is still quite nice and I like it and will continue to use the other 3 I purchased. I would repurchase it again, if I can ever find it!

Arbonne RE9 Regenerating Toner –

This is my second bottle of this toner I have used up and I really like it and am onto my third bottle! It comes in a spray bottle so you just spritz it on your face instead of putting it on a cotton round and wiping it over like a traditional toner (however you could spray it onto a cotton round if you wanted to). This is all natural, doesn’t have an offensive smell and is moisturising. I really like this toner and would repurchase it again.
