Trashy Tuesdays – Products I Have Used Up

IMG_0359.JPG

Hello Everyone,

Once again I must apologise for the long timeframe between posts. If you have been following my blog for a while then you will know I have started my own business selling my handmade soy candles and bath products which has been keeping me extremely busy and unfortunately I don’t have as much time for my blog anymore. I promise to try my hardest this year and getting posts up a little more regularly again.

I have been saving up a lot of empty products lately so I thought I would kick things off again with a trashy Tuesday, which if you are new to my blog is where I give mini reviews of beauty products I have used up that are now ‘Trash’ and I upload this posts on Tuesday’s.

Enough rambling from me, let’s get into it!

Justin Beiber Someday 50ml Eau De Parfume – ok so I’m not a fan of the Beib’s but I must say I did enjoy this perfume. The bottle is cute and the scent is very sweet and pleasant smelling. If you don’t like sweet perfumes then you will hate this one but I didn’t mind it. Would I repurchase it again? Probably not just because I have way too many perfumes and always like trying new ones but if someone got it for me as a gift I would happily use it again.

Stridex Natural Control Triangle Pads – I got these off iherb after hearing the original version being recommend by a Youtuber but decided to go for the natural ones as I only like to use mostly natural skincare when possible. These are little triangle pads soaked in a solution containing salicylic acid amongst other things and are supposed to help clear up acne. I used one each night after washing my face and it made for a nice quick and easy toner but I didn’t really notice any difference to my skin so I probably wouldn’t repurchase again.

Bee Naturals Miracle Skin Creme – I also picked this up off iherb and this is basically an all purpose balm type product that can be used on cuts, dry skin, lips or anywhere that your skin needs soothing and moisturisation. This came in hand for dry skin patches that I sometimes get and this tub lated for ages! I would recommend this and would repurchase it again although now with me making my own bath products and some skin care I think I will have a go at making something similar myself.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Purée – I got this moisturiser for free at a body shop party I hosted and first of all I must say it smells incredible! So fresh and fruity! However I did find this to be quite thin and watery and not very moisturising at all so for that reason I would not recommend this product. I would however like to try the body butter in this scent as the body shop body butters are pretty good and this scent alone would be worth trying it out.

So that’s all for this Trashy Tuesday, I will have more posts like this coming up showing more products I have used up. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them or what you have used up lately.

Take care guys, love yas! Xo

Product Empties/Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? – #6

All Products

Hi Lovelies!

Welcome to day one of empties week! If you missed my post yesterday I let you guys know that I am going to be doing a product empties post every single day this week showing different products each day that I have used up and giving mini reviews on them. Let’s get started!

Diamond Mask Box

Diamond Mask

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Jewels Thermal Rejuvenation Mask, Diamonds Collection –

Ok so you are probably wondering from the picture why I am throwing this out then it is clearly not empty, well it’s because its crap and has gone off very quickly. I purchased this off a flash sale site it was around $50.00 but retails for around $600.00 the site said so a very pricey mask. I was expecting big things from this mask given the price and the fact that it has ground up diamond dust in it, well it was very disappointing! It did absolutely nothing for my skin and it went off in less than 12 months so now I do not want to put it on my skin again. I am so annoyed at this product and having to throw it out given I spent so much money on it but there is really no point in hanging onto it anymore. I would definitely not repurchase this again.

Lush Mask

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty –

This was a sample of this face mask from LUSH and I got around three uses out of it. This is a clay mask that smells minty and also has a cooling minty feel to it. It has chunks of ground up beans in it so it is also exfoliating when you wash it off. I am kind of on the fence about this mask, I liked it but I don’t love it. I found it draws out blackheads but they kind of sit on top of the skin and are like stuck and hard to rub off, it’s very strange! I think with longer use of this product it would be great and I think I will purchase the full size once I use up a few more masks I have open.

Milk Bath

The Body Shop Milk Bath –

This is a powdered product and you put a spoonful in your bath tub and it makes the water milky like a milk bath which is supposed to be very moisturising for the skin. I did not find that this did anything for making my skin soft and I was glad to finally use this up as I didn’t really enjoy it. I probably won’t repurchase this again.

Maybeline Concealer

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Fair –

When I first purchased this product I really hated it, I did not like the coverage but I did use to have much worse dark circles than I do now. I think the sponge tip on the end it very unhygienic and kind of grosses me out, I wish this was in a pump or squeeze tube but the sponge tip does make it easy to apply. Towards the end of this product I started to really love it. I don’t need much coverage anymore so I can use this on its own and it’s enough for me. It is very easy to blend and has a brightening effect. I have the pink toned one but I don’t enjoy it as much as this one in fair. Once the other one is used up I will repurchase this one in fair.

Arbonne Eye Cream

Arbonne RE9 Corrective Eye Crème –

I won’t talk too much about this because I have spoken about it before. I love this eye cream, it’s very moisturising without being heavy or greasy and works well at night and also during the day under makeup. I have backups of this and will continue to use it, I really like it.

That’s the end of this empties post, I kept this one quite short and sweet. Let me know in the comments what you have used up recently and what your thoughts were.

Love yas! Xo

May Blog-A-Thon Day Three – Product Empties – Products I Have Used Up – Would I Repurchase? #4

All Products

I swear I have been going through products like crazy lately! I feel like I have enough products to do an empties post each week. I am happy to be using some products up to try and get through my extensive collection as I hate the idea of products going to waste. If you want to see what I have used up recently then keep reading.

Arbonne Cleanser

Arbonne Smoothing Facial Cleanser –

I have been really enjoying this cleanser, it is very gentle yet still removes all of my makeup and makeup my face feel really clean. It does not dry out my skin and smells so yummy like fresh fruit! I already have two backups of this cleanser.

Rub Rub Rub

LUSH Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub –

I am not going to talk much about this because I have mentioned it so many times before! This is my Holy Grail body scrub and I have another backup already and will continue to repurchase it. I love it!

Palmolive Body Wash

Palmolive Naturals Rich Moisture Milk & Honey Shower Milk –

I keep this in my travel bag and finally used it up whilst in Bali recently. This has a pleasant milk and honey scent, lathers nicely and is moisturising, I really liked it and would repurchase it again.

Snail Mask

Snail Essence Make by MJCare –

This is a sheet mask and I get these off eBay and they are very popular in Asia. I find these sheet masks are very brightening and I like to use them when my skin is looking dull and when I have acne scars that I am trying to fade (which is all the time!). I would repurchase this one but my favourite from this brand is the green tea one but they are all quite similar.

Healthy Hair

Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner –

This is another product I usually keep in my travel bag and I also used up the last of this in Bali. I liked this leave in conditioner, it did not weigh my hair done or have any sort of offensive scent. It is not my favourite leave in conditioner I have used though so I don’t know if I would repurchase the full size. I am going to keep this little bottle to fill up with one of my other leave in conditioners and put it back in my travel bag as it is the perfect size.

Arbonne Toner

Arbonne Regenerating Toner –

I like this toner, it comes in a spray bottle which at first I wasn’t sure about but I quite like it. It’s soothing and was very moisturising. I already have a couple of backups of this one as well from my kit as I am no longer doing Arbonne workshops (I am a consultant if you didn’t already know) so I am using up products from my kit for myself.

Eye Cream

Physicians Formula Luxury Eye Cream –

This eye cream took me forever to use up as it is so thick! It is made from a variety of oils and is very moisturising but also quite greasy so I could only use this at night, it would not be suitable to use under makeup because it is just so greasy. I would consider repurchasing this in the future but right now I have so many eye creams I am trying to get through.

Meringa Body Butter

The Body Shop Meringa Body Butter –

I am normally not really a fan of floral scents but I quite liked this scent so I picked up a travel size of this body butter at a Body Shop party and again used it up in Bali (I really went through products in Bali didn’t I!). This was moisturising and did its job, not much really to say about it but I would consider repurchasing it in the future.

That concludes this empties post, let me know in the comments what you have used up recently and what you thought of it. Xo
